We offer lampwork glass beadmaking lessons at our studio, which is situated in the shop at Winchester. A map of our location can be found here.
Beginners Day Class
Classes run from 10am - 4pm, and are priced at £120 for the day, which includes a break for lunch, so please bring a packed lunch with you. Tea and coffee is provided
On the day, we will cover:
Health & Safety regulations
Technical information about glass
Information about torches, oxygen concentrators and equipment
Annealing and cleaning of beads
Making basic round beads
Using frit and pulling stringers
Adding dots, stripes & swirls
Shaping by hand and using marvers, presses and moulds
Taster Session
Two and a half hour taster sessions are also available at a price of £45 per person. During this session we will make round beads and use frit, dots and spots for decoration. Please phone for availability.
Payment for class bookings is made in advance and is not refundable, but we will re-schedule your class if at least 7 days notice is given of a cancellation. Classes which are booked and not attended will not be refunded or re-booked for another date. If we should need to cancel a class, then you will be given the option of re-booking, or a full refund.
